Description
Native to the Caribbean, this species grows on the tips of branches in fairly exposed conditions. This orchid enjoys being grown on slabs or in pots with good air flow. We have grown them in unglazed clay pots with moss, or plastic pots with a bark mix or just charcoal. These are divisions of originally collected plants from the famous 'Jungle Mary' nursery in Florida from the early 1970s. The 1/2" flowers are borne on spikes with 5 to 10 flowers that last about 2 months and have a sweet fragrance to them.
We sell our Tolumnia by two growth divisions from the mother plant. When listed ‘in spike’, we send 50% of the growths in spike. For example, if you order 4 growths, we will send two of them in spike. Please Note: you can order any multiple of two growths and when in spike we will send one of the two growths in spike.
